Z1 Expansion Sleeve

Eliminate the backlash and stress concentration of keyed connections with the Z1 Expansion Sleeve. By tightening the locking screws, the inner and outer tapered rings expand radially, generating high contact pressure.

This mechanical friction joint uses a double-taper design to create a powerful interference fit between the shaft and the hub such as a gear, pulley, or sprocket.

ZERO BACKLASH CONNECTION: Creates a solid, friction-based lock between the shaft and hub, eliminating the play and wear associated with traditional keyways.
HIGH TORQUE TRANSMISSION: The radial pressure generated by the tapered rings allows for the transmission of heavy torque loads and axial forces, often exceeding the capacity of keyed shafts.

SELF-CENTERING DESIGN: The internal cone structure automatically centers the hub on the shaft during tightening, improving concentricity and reducing vibration at high speeds.
PROTECTS SHAFTS: Since no keyway is required, the shaft retains its full strength and is not weakened by stress concentration points.
