Aluminum Jaw Coupling – Flexible L-Type Spider Shaft Coupler with Polyurethane Insert
Ensure smooth, quiet, and reliable power transmission with our Aluminum Jaw Couplings. Designed for versatility, this 3-piece flexible coupling system consists of two lightweight aluminum hubs and an elastomeric “spider” insert. The key advantage of the Jaw Coupling is its design. The interlocking jaws transmit torque directly, meaning even if the spider insert fails, the drive system will not lose power.
Perfect for connecting stepper motors, servo motors, encoders, and small pumps where reliability and low maintenance are critical.
FAIL-SAFE OPERATION: The interlocking jaw design ensures continuous torque transmission even if the elastomeric spider fails, preventing catastrophic system stoppages.
VIBRATION DAMPING: The polyurethane spider insert effectively absorbs shock loads and dampens torsional vibrations, protecting sensitive motor bearings and driven components.
MISALIGNMENT COMPENSATION:
Angular Misalignment: Up to 1.0°
Parallel Misalignment: Up to 0.015″ (0.38mm)
Axial End Play: Absorbs slight thermal expansion.
